Welcome to AstraSite.ai ("AstraSite," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the AstraSite platform, including our website at astrasite.ai, all related services, and any websites generated through our platform.

Please read these Terms carefully before using AstraSite. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using AstraSite in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.

You must be at least 18 years old to use AstraSite. By using our platform, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

2. Account Registration and Responsibilities

To use AstraSite, you must create an account. When doing so, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently.

3. Service Description

AstraSite is an AI-powered website builder that provides:

  • AI website generation — Describe your business and our AI creates a complete, professional website
  • Website hosting — Your site is hosted on an AstraSite subdomain (yoursite.astrasite.ai) or your own custom domain
  • Visual editing — Edit your site's content, design, and layout after generation
  • AI-powered editing — Request changes to your site using natural language
  • Blog and e-commerce — Built-in blog and online store capabilities
  • Custom domains — Connect your own domain name (available on paid plans)
  • SSL certificates — Free SSL encryption for all sites

We strive to keep our services available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes that temporarily affect availability.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

AstraSite offers the following plans:

  • Free — Basic website generation with AstraSite branding
  • Starter ($20/month) — Custom domain support, no AstraSite branding, and additional features
  • Pro ($69/month) — Full feature access including e-commerce, blog, chatbot, analytics, and priority support

By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the following:

  • Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date
  • Payment processing: All payments are securely processed through Stripe. We do not store your full credit card information on our servers
  • Price changes: We may change our pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes take effect at the start of your next billing period
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or Stripe billing portal. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period
  • Refunds: We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us at legal@astrasite.ai within 14 days

5. User Content Ownership

You own your content. Any text, images, logos, or other materials you provide or upload to AstraSite remain your property. We do not claim ownership of your content.

By using our platform, you grant AstraSite a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of providing our services to you. This license ends when you delete your content or close your account.

You represent that you have the right to use all content you upload and that it does not infringe on any third party's rights.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use AstraSite to:

  • Create websites containing illegal content or promoting illegal activities
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or any harmful code
  • Send spam or unsolicited communications
  • Host phishing pages or engage in fraud
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
  • Create content that is defamatory, harassing, or threatening
  • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Use our platform to build competing products or services

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy, with or without notice.

7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

AstraSite uses artificial intelligence (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to generate website content, including text, layout suggestions, and design elements.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI-generated content may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate for your specific needs
  • You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all AI-generated content before publishing
  • AstraSite does not guarantee that AI-generated content is free from errors, biases, or inaccuracies
  • AI-generated content should not be relied upon as professional advice (legal, medical, financial, or otherwise)
  • You are solely responsible for the final content published on your website

8. Intellectual Property

AstraSite's platform: The AstraSite platform, including its design, code, features, branding, and technology, is owned by AstraSite and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer any part of our platform.

Your websites: Websites you create using AstraSite belong to you. You may export your content at any time. However, proprietary templates, components, and AI models used to generate your site remain the property of AstraSite.

9. Third-Party Services

AstraSite integrates with third-party services to provide our platform. By using AstraSite, you acknowledge that your data may be processed by the following services, subject to their own terms and privacy policies:

  • Stripe — Payment processing
  • Cloudflare — CDN, SSL, and DDoS protection
  • Anthropic (Claude) — AI content generation
  • Unsplash — Stock photography

We are not responsible for the practices, policies, or availability of third-party services. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AstraSite and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of our services.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of AstraSite shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

AstraSite is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the reliability, accuracy, or availability of our services.

11. Termination

By you: You may close your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Upon closure, your subscription will not renew, and your websites will be taken offline.

By us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or if we are required to do so by law. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination, except in cases of severe violations.

Data deletion: After account termination, we will delete your account data and website content within 30 days, unless we are required by law to retain it. You may request an export of your data before closing your account.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Provide at least 30 days' notice via email or a prominent notice on our platform
  • Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page

Your continued use of AstraSite after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using our services.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of AstraSite shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of these courts.
